Landscapes of Learning

This project was a student design competition to redesign Red Square at the University of Washington. In this design light and water are a metaphor for the university student's journey through knowledge. Light represents the student’s clarifying path through higher education, while different forms of water express changing scales of knowledge. Together, three distinct yet connected spaces embody an experience of being dispersed, collected, and then focused. This design placed second in the competition.
